I'm a believer! I bought 2 identical unlocked iPhone 5 at the same time, now 8 weeks later, Straight Talk user

Good: all around good phone. So much better than the phones we had, Droid 3 and Samsung Galaxy Ace. I'm a non-Apple guy; I can't stand all the pretentiousness related to Apple products. HOWEVER... it IS a good phone! What specifically? It's fast, I can't imagine the phone being faster and working any smoother. The reception is good. With the same Straight Talk service as before, I can actually go out of town and expect to be able to text and call. Before with a Samsung Galaxy Ace once I left the city limits I might as well have left the phone at home, because all I had was a "no service" icon. Every extra app I have added and kept on the phone works great as well. Not-so-good: battery life. This phone as well as the other when first received would not go for 3-4 hours just sitting around doing nothing. So do an internet search for "prolong battery life iPhone 5" or something similar and you'll soon be happier with this than your previous non-iPhones. My wife (this phone) has a genuine Apple charge cord but I have an after-market one; both seem to charge the same. Now the battery life is acceptable; on a full charge you can go pretty much all work-day.

    Mixed feelings

I purchased this to replace my old Iphone 5S. I was excited for a brand new one because I have always bought used phones. The description reads: "Comes in white box" which I assumed was a factory Iphone box. Nope, it literally came in a standard white cardboard box with the charge cord and 110V outlet plug. It was packaged well in bubble wrap, just not what I was expecting. The phone I received works well and does everything it should. The exterior was perfect and had no scratches. The only quirk is... you cannot silence the camera shutter sound. I tried everything. Silent mode, ringer all the way down, even went into settings and tried to change it. No dice. I read online somewhere that this is a feature used in Japan, where supposedly you are prohibited from silencing a camera sound. (So you can't sneak pictures of people maybe??) TLDR: Great phone, works good, no factory packaging and you can't silence camera shutter sound. Battery life leaves something to be desired.

Had the unlocked iPhone 5 for almost 8 weeks 11/2015, I'm saying YES!

Using this unlocked iPhone 5 with Straight Talk. Reception is SO much better than the Samsung Ace I was using. I have the same phone service as before, just switched out my phone but now outside the city I can actually drive between cities and still have decent reception for calls and texts. With the Samsung it was literally like having a brick, dead, nothing. Now the battery is another thing. It just does not seem to be able to go a whole day on a charge, so I keep a charger handy. However, to make it tolerable search online for how to increase your battery time, and there are plenty of good articles. Fresh out of the box it was horrible, but after following some advice it's much better than it was. By the way, the phone is all around a good phone, all functions work, it's fast, I don't see how a phone could be faster!

    Good product

Purchased as first phone for 6th grader as bday present. No problems other than straight talks internet service sucks after you reach X amount of data each month. Phone runs LTE but straight talk only runs 3g and then bumps speeds down to 1g after the first 3 gigs of data- they have other plans but we purchased the cheap/unlimited plan. After a month, we canceled straight talk service because kid couldnt get phone to hardly run or load on straight talk network. Always using our wifi because of slow service. Phone works on wifi perfectly. Great product, no problems with phone but straight talk sucks.

    Very good product

Aesthetically looks GREAT! Mine didn't come with drastic or notable scratches, just 1 or 2 minor and not notables at all. Certainly battery life is a minor factor but it's enough for daily use, just try not to use many apps at the same time or enable saving mode. Also I live abroad and I thought it was unlocked for other countries and carriers, but my surprise was that when I tried to use another SIM Card, it didn't let me, anyway I'm working to unlocking it online, it costs 1$ though, let's see if it works.

    Happy with it

The phone is in good shape and has tons of memory. The only disadvantage of buying a used phone is that the battery is used, so it starts to die towards the end of the day. They also gave me a generic charger which is OK for charging but doesn't work if you want to connect the phone to your computer. Overall though I am happy and I would buy it again.

    Writing review on this phone

For us it is a Great Leap Forward (we're not teenagers) Fast compared to last phone easy to learn to use. I really like that it was unlocked with no bloat ware. Apple makes it easy to guard your privacy by being able to block tracking for almost anything. Down side is the battery life is less than I wanted, but by adjusting settings it is better. Overall a good deal.

What is a small form factor?

Ridiculous prompt for the 'review'. It's an iPhone. It works well. I still hate iTunes. So proprietary. The battery dies in the cold - inexplicably sometimes. I live in the mountains so this is an issue. All of my iPHones have done this. Sometimes when you go to charge a dead phone it will miraculously have 70% charge. Not a deal breaker just try to keep the phone warm if possible.

    Almost Perfect

Very quality purchase when I was in a pinch and needed a fix. Plus battery life, cosmetic dings were very minor, overall very happy with this purchase. The sole problem I have with the phone is a weird screen glitch that sometimes makes typing (and simply registering the screen) impossible. It's normally fixed right away with a quick hold-button reset, but it can still be a nuisance. 4/5.

    "Lightweight with great features"

Ive always wanted to get me a good iphone and now since i have finally got me a good iphone i will be able to stick to this because unlike androids which are way cheaper and the updates arent all that different that we will actually get a good phone thats like a ipod and a phone together. so basicaly it's "team iphone all the way".!!
