The laces are thick and ropey, with a slightly tougher material around the eyelets for reinforcement.

The collar of the shoe is flexible like a sock but sturdy. The support element around the heel is comfortably stiff and supportive. All around, the whole shoe has good play and strikes a balance between comfort and support.
